The game was much more what the series was expected to look like coming in, with a feisty Kings lineup scraping together enough points to keep up with the Oilers’ high-octane offence on the scoreboard until it becomes anyone’s game in the end.

It was nothing like the series opener two days earlier, where the Oilers jumped to an early lead on their way to pumping seven pucks past Cam Talbot.
Regardless, the series is tied 1-1 as the backdrop now switches to L.A. on Friday. Here’s some of what’s been written on the series’ latest script:
While he is known for his scoring prowess on the way to his first 50-goal season, Zach Hyman left a different kind of lasting impression on Kings forward Phillip Danault, coming up with the hit of the series with a clean, mid-ice check that had Oilers fans in an uproar.
