Second-degree murder charges laid after death of 74-year-old Leduc man: RCMPBack to video
Mounties received a report of a well-being check on a man at an apartment building on 50 Street in Leduc. Upon entering the apartment, officers located a deceased man, police said in a Thursday news release.

The man was transported to the office of the chief medical examiner and the Alberta RCMP major crimes unit was deployed and took over the investigation.
Police identified the man as Leonard Harry Belcourt of Leduc.
On Wednesday, investigators with the Alberta RCMP major crimes unit, with assistance from the Leduc RCMP’s general investigations section, charged Leduc resident Scott Thomas Serson, 45, with second-degree murder.
Serson was remanded into custody and his next court appearance is scheduled for Friday in Edmonton.
